What do any of you know about the LCC? Is it Theosophical or Christian (Catholic)? Please let me know what status the LCC has with Theosophists these days. (I am aware of a correspondence between the two in the past.) Are any of you a member?

Andrew,

I attended a Theosophical lecture a couple of years ago at the Theosophical facilities in Ohai, California. One of the people at the lecture was a Theosophist who is also a priest in the Liberal Catholic Church. So, there there seem to be some people who are in both organizations. (I'm not sure, but I think that all of the LCC members originally came from the Theosophical ranks.) I spoke a little bit with the fellow, and my impression was that the LCC still exists, but they do not have a lot of members. If you are interested in contacting them, I'll see what I can dig up for you.

I found them on the Web and ordered a Missal (Mass Book) from them. I used to have one long ago, and I am anxious to see if there has been any changes. I think they derive their valid Holy Orders from the Old Catholic Church through Leadbeater. They do, as I understand it, have VALID Holy Orders. But, being a Catholic, or a Christian, is not my object. Studying world religions in the light of Theosophy is my objective. I think the Adyar people would be more prone to accept their Church than other Theosophists. That is not a criticism---just an observation.
