Hi everybody!
I am looking for a quote. I believe it is in the Mahatma Letters. The quote says that, as long as we believe the beliefs of the people around us, we will be accepted as a good person by those people, no matter how rediculous our ideas are. However, once we start rejecting commonly-held beliefs, and start believing unpopular ideas, we will be hounded and comdemned by the people around us, no matter how correct or lofty our ideas are. Theosophy, by its very nature, causes us to believe unpopular ideas. The path of a Theosophist is a path to condemnation and ostricizing.
Does anyone know the quote I am looking for, or something similar to it?
