The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who introduced the Transcendental Meditation movement and started many rock and pop luminaries on the path of spirituality, has left this world this morning. Aged 91, the Maharishi had only recently retired, saying that his work in this life was done. He died peacefully in his sleep.

As a matter of fact, I was recently watching a DVD of the old Beatle days, when the Beatles visited the Maharishi in India. (It was funny to see Ringo running around as some kind of flower child....)
