Right now it's 10 F in Aurora. We got maybe 4 inches of snow over night..

Snow...? Oh, yeah, I read about it in books and stuff.
Here in the Southern California desert, it has never snowed. However, I pay the price for living in such a place — we average 109 degrees F everyday during the summer.
Jon, let us know how it is going. I suppose it is difficult just getting around in town.
Got pictures?

It was 0 F. this morning in the high desert of south central BC. At least the rattlesnakes are are all holed up.

Of course I am late, Gemini that I am. It is sunny, and seventy degrees, the sky is blue, the clouds are fleecy. The birds are singing and the squirrels are chattering to each other. I can not imagine a more perfect day. Well yes i could, if my husband makes dinner tonight. :D

Yesterday the high was 114 F out here in the California desert! (I think that is about 47 C.)

I am from the South originally, so I am use to that weird heat. Here in New York when it gets hot it is that humid take one's energy away heat. I live in an old house well over a hundred years old and no air conditioning except in the Animals room. So when it gets hot it is ice and smoothies from Wendy's. Last week it was so hot, my coconut butter turned into liquid.

Right now it is very cool here. The past few days it has been so hot. I had to have a groomer come to the house and shave my thirteen year old Newfoundland, the heat was unbearable for her. On a happy note, I have a book coming out of children's short stories called The little witch who lost her broom. It will be sold on Amazon and Barnes and Noble on line. Will keep you posted on exact date. On an even happier note, I have a hanging plant on my front porch. A mama bird has built a nest and there are two little pink speckled eggs in it. What a nice surprise. I am not sure what kind of bird it is. My husband tried to peek and the bird came out of the nest snapping at my husband's face. I think it is a sparrow. I feel like a new grandmother will all the new projects in my life.

Sara,
I am glad it is so cool where you are. We were 116 F yesterday. Yes, we can cook eggs on the sidewalk. (Don't tell any vegetarian Theosophists I said that!)

That is hot. I remember that old song we are having a heat wave. Hope you get a break soon. Well for the Vegetarians you could say tofu on the sidewalk. :D

Chicago has been between 75 and 85 lately, with rainstorms once or twice a week. Pretty nice, actually.

Speaking of storms, we have had thunderstorms everyday for the past four days. One was so strong it knocked a branch off my Oak Tree. It is hot but bearable, the only problem is it is very humid and sticky.
