Looks like an excellent survey Dan, but damned if I can print it out. Either the two tiny pages are crammed into the portrait orientated paper or when I turn to landscape it does not print out at all.

Anyone have any tricks?

Are you trying to print off of your Mac?

No, the drive is split and I rarely leave the XP side.

You are using XP to print? Good, that will make this easier. Display the Hillard web page on your screen. The actual text is in a JPG file. Right-click on the JPG, and choose Save Picture As (hillard147.jpeg) to your hard drive. Navigate to that file on your hard drive. Open up that file, and it will display itself inside a browser-window. Right-click on the picture and click on Print Picture. A Print window will appear. Select to print only page 1. Hit the Print button, and it should print out the first page for you.

I experimented with this on my PC, and the page is a little too long for me to print onto one page. You may have to go back and repeat this process to print out page 2 (a small chunk of the bottom of the JPG file).

Nope Nick, that did not work; only the header and the black line frame printed.

The only, laborious way I have found is to right click, send an email to myself, then use the Windows fax reader to print the picture of one page at a time.

Surely a labor-saving device is this machine, eh?

You guys could download LVIEW. It used to be free, not sure now. It is by the people who created the .jpg format. It will automatically scale the picture when you print a graphic image to the printer.

I had been experimenting with creating a readable
online copy. But I knew that there would be major problems
if someone wanted to print out the articles!!

So I have created a pdf copy of the first section or part
which can be found at:

I have printed a copy out. Except for the first page, the
printout is fairly readable.

I hope this helps if someone wants a printout. Later today
I will create pdfs of Parts 2 and 3 and provide those to
interested readers too.

One can also print out one page at a time each of the
Hillard pages, click on each link below and then
print out each page. This is a little more cumbersome
but at least on my printer the print comes out larger
and more readable. NOTE: Your printer may not
initially print out the most readable copy. Settings
on different printers may work differently!

Excellent Dan! That extra "pt" in the URLs for the latter 2 parts threw me, as I tried putting in a "2" or "3" earlier.
