How many octaves of recursive evolution and involution do you suppose there are? Have you read the book, The Buddhist Teaching of Totality (London, George Allen and Unwin Ltd. 1972) by Garma C.C. Chang?
I have become concerned that Theosopy seems to just "stop." I am not finding it a complete philosophy so have increased my resources. I hope to find some additional information through this book that goes beyond the endless repetitively that I am finding with Theosophy. As such, it tends to leave the Absolute mindless and purposeless. The planetary evolution leaves me very suspect. Especially, the connection to a septenary plan, which does not seem possible to play out through all systems, galaxies, clusters etc. The merging of Man/Deva to pure Spirit seems to be incomplete, if accurate.
Although I don't follow the Buddhist dismissal of a Soul, I am willing to look into their supposed larger scope.

Christian,
One thing about
The Secret Doctrine is that it only covers our
Round. Blavatsky said writing about all levels and cycles would be too much information.
Why do you feel it not seem possible to play out a septenary plan through all systems, galaxies, clusters etc.? Why does the merging of Man/Deva to pure Spirit seems to be incomplete?

It is keyed off of seven select bodies to begin with.
Why does the merging of Man/Deva to pure Spirit seems to be incomplete?
What is that experience? What are we to gain from the words that there is this process? Not much. It seems empty or anti-climatic. And then, it all just stops. "Sorry, we have to go to commercial." There has to be things or something about this that makes it incomprehensibly compelling. Regardless, Theosophy should be telling us what it is in their words that makes the struggle so worth this. And, of what possible value is this to the Absolute? Or to mankind? Or to the Universe. Is it just the final blooming of a rose bud, or does it have some staggering consequence and meaning? Does something change? Is there something better that comes out of this, or do we just say, "OK. Done now. Been there, done that. I think I will just dissolve now. No one, nothing, including me has anything to take away from all of this. It was just a great big bang, followed by a flash in the pan."
Do we go off to seed a galaxy or our own in a new Universe, for example. That might be something spectacular and meaningful. We can give back something. We can care for world's of civilization.
Do we span an entirely new concept of consciouisness?
Do we find that what we have accomplished was simply good custodianship of a dying world. And move up to a bigger assignment? Doesn't sound like the greatest career, but at least it would be progress.
Do we somehow contribute something to the Absolute, that would otherwise have been impossible. And would would that mean, and what difference would it bring about?
Are there MANY Absolutes, and we enter some entirely new frame of reference?
Do we find the whole process so thrilling and exilirating that we want to simply seek the thrills of being thrown down into more dense matter in some other place, only to finish our three-minute ride and start thinking that maybe next time we should try "Universal Studios." I hear they have some new rides.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN? WHY IS IT WORTH IT? WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? WHAT GOOD WILL COME OF IT? HOW HAS MY EXISTENCE BEEN A CONTRIBUTION THAT COULD BE IN ANYWAY SATISFYING AFTER THE ETERNITY I JUST WENT THROUGH?
Will I become "Will-less?" Do I now regulate even the Devas to having no purpose whatsoever? Is all motivation, and hope and drive now gone. Do we just shake hands with 30 trillion soles and say "OK, Monads Unite." Then poof -- we never were?
I guess I am left with the question, "WHAT?"
The truth is "I DON'T BELIEVE IT." There has to be very much unsaid, ALL unsaid, relatively speaking. Or, as concerns the Absolute, "Why Bother?"
If this is IT, just further down the road, then what's the difference just leaving the belief of the Jew? "Your born, You Die."
Even the idea of some eternal bliss would scare the heck out of me. It sounds like eternal bordem at some point. We can't even reincarnate anymore.
