Amit & Uma Goswami
Weekend Program
Quantum Consciousness and the Yoga of Transformation
Fri 7:30 - 9pm, Sat 10 - noon, 2 - 4, Sun 10 - noon
April 20 - 22
Can spirituality and science be integrated? Can our internal experiences, including those of the spirit, and our external, or material, experiences be understood equally? Quantum physicist Amit Goswami will address these issues and demonstrate how a new paradigm of science is rediscovering God as quantum nonlocal consciousness. Psychologist Uma Goswami will introduce the subject of yoga, seen as a journey from the conditioned ego to quantum consciousness. Through many experiential practices, she will help participants explore higher states of consciousness. Series $35, Single session $10
Amit Goswami, PhD, a quantum physicist most recently featured in the movie What the Bleep Do We Know, adroitly integrates philosophy, cosmology, religion, and psychology to create a new way of thinking about religion and science. In his book, The Visionary Window: A Quantum Physicist’s Guide to Enlightenment, Goswami goes beyond Fritjof Capra’s work in seeing how consciousness affects matter and demonstrates how the power of spiritual practice can be explained through the principles of physics.
Uma Goswami, MD, has practiced child psychiatry in Bangalore, India, for 12 years. During the course of her practice, Dr Goswami, an international lecturer, has conducted her own research on the transformation of emotions using yoga therapy, and has a forthcoming book on the subject. She is also an accomplished dancer of Bharatanatyam, a classical dance of India.

Four-Day Series
Ecstatic Naturalism
May 8 - 11
Tues - Fri 10 - noon
There is much discussion of what could be called “the nature of nature.” In this class we will explore some ancient and some modern concepts of nature in order to prepare the way for what may be called an “ecstatic naturalism.” We will study Taoism, neo-Platonism (especially Plotinus), the Upanishads, Transcendentalism, and mystical concepts of nature. The key distinction throughout will be between nature naturing (nature creating itself out of itself alone) and nature natured (the orders of the world). The medieval concept of a creator God will be replaced with the concept of the God of nature. Series $35, Single session $10
