Title: Thought forms and karma
Description: the law of cause and effect
Pippin - October 2, 2006 05:21 AM (GMT)
With every action there is a reaction, The Law of Cause and Effect, Karma.
Our future is in our hands in the NOW moment by our thought process and actions that will either make or mar our lives. The Law of Karma is in place for a balance
of energies and its measurements are always just.
Life is what you make of it, if you act with lack of love in thoughts, words and
actions then we attract lack of love into our lives. At no point is Karma out of our
own hands. At all times we have the power to forgive and to create a life of love
and peace. This starts with ones thoughts.
The way you think, the colour forms of those thoughts, creates the experience you
have and as thoughts can form into matter, the action of that thought creation could be a positive experience or a negative one depending on the purity of
thought. No thought, word or action will go unheeded. All will be balanced.
How do you people here strive to maintain pure thoughts of fine vibrations?

Karma is like a teacher, I feel. This is why we have to try to be mindful of what we do in this life, so we do not incur anymore karma. GD

But karma is just balance, if we do super good deeds,
act in unselfish ways, give service to the development of humanity
and Gaia without thought of gain, then the law of cause and effect
with such actions, words and thoughts
will be an express ticket to Chelaship.............

Pippin,
Your question about maintaining pure thoughts of fine vibrations has always been a difficult one for me. I admit I have trouble maintaining equinimity all the time. If you come across ways for all of us to increase our equinimity, please feel free to share.

Hi everybody!
For those of you overseas who may not know, we have had a streak of school shootings here in America.
Obviously, these people do not think they will be held accountable for what they do. One of the most important things Theosophists can do is get out the word on karma. Perhaps the idea of guaranteed accountability may stop some of these murders.

Pippen.
First, let me say, I really enjoyed your post. Love the insight. I had hoped I was not the only clairvoyant Theosophist, and as you illuded to the colors and shapes I presume you may to see these things that were so evident to the early writing theosophists. I find them easy to see, and can describe them easily enough and pick up information about them and our reactions to them. Most of this I feel most people could do as well, with a little training. I would love to talk about these things with you more if you are so inclined. We probably should be including the Aura around people in this thread, as it is so instrumental to perceiving thought forms. Chakras are visible as well too. Leadbeater has some books on all of these, which were of great interest to be when I began studying Theosophy, perhaps you would have interest in them as well.
Answering your question more directly, I think the best way is to simply connect with your Higher Self. I can imagine this must be difficult to those that do not have the sight, nor the practices to distinguish the levels of sensation that help one discern when this is accomplished. Not sure what I can do about that, but I can, at least, work this out for my self. When people ask me this question I feel compelled to tell them they must meditate and clear their minds. The process of trying to perceive nothing, which is not likely, helps us to draw more of the energy that pertains to our mental bodies to us and around us. Most of what we think is to some degree what gets in our way. The more we put it aside, the more we naturally "climb" (figurative) and attract our mental energies (which is probably the same as reaching for our Higher Selves.) The more of [that] energy we have around us, the more we minimize the attractive properties that inhabit our auras, therefore, dispelling any attraction to thought forms that are negative.
Of course, Pippen, some of these come FROM us. Therefore, the process I mentioned helps in that regards as well. They no longer have a reason to maintain their form. All thought forms would cease to exist if they are not "energized" to use a somewhat sensationalized term. They have to be "activated." Of course, as the ancient texts would say, this is the secret of the ancient magics as well.
I think the most workable part of what you said is the term "attract." Consciousness, energy, whatever (the same thing in ways) works by this process. Whether layered in like-form in the hierarchies, or seething and boiling all around us in colors and forms (which is why they are perceived in auras as blotches in color, as they move in and out and all around), or whether they separate again at death into their constituent energy types to support the separation of successive bodies, the property of ATTRACTING LIKE is the key process to understand.
My opinion with a foundation based on Leadbeater’s and Bessant’s works, many that are illustrated. Blavatsky offers some greater depth to the process in the Secret Doctrine.
