Title: hist/myth/linguistic sub-forum(s)
Description: ?

I was looking for a Theosophical forum in the hopes of being able to discuss history and mythology and linguistics since there seem to be some academics in theosophy like Elsa Brita-Titchenal and Kak/Frawley/Feuerstein. So I was wonderiing if you could have history/myth/linguistics sub-forum(s) if you don't already?

Hi Ro-fhessa and welcome to the Forum.

The best way to do this is for you to start a thread in the Concepts sub-forum. If it gets a lot of responses, we can create a separate sub-forum for it.

Good suggestion Ro-fhessa.

I have been giving a lot of thought over the last year about this kind of thing. So much that is expoused has as its basis, at least to some degree, interpretation. Proper interpretation, as Blavatsky points out, can make quite a difference in the result. As can the history of how words, symbols thoughts change over time. Perhaps this fits in with your suggestion.

I would find your suggestion, if implemented, helpful. As your post was from march, perhaps it already has been. I will look for it as I review the forums.

For what its worth I have spent a lot of time reviewing myth, mythology and mythological characters over the year, and have started databasing some of this information to help myself out. Perhaps something similar in concept would work here, albeit, converted to a forum/community format.

Thank you. Good thinking.

Christian
