Title: About this forum:

Nick the Pilot - October 15, 2005 05:33 PM (GMT)
This forum was launched on October 15, 2005, in order to give people a chance to learn about and discuss the many facets of Theosophy. Up to now, there has not been an active Theosophical Forum on the internet (searches have been done, but they have failed to turn up anything), so this is the very first opportunity web-surfers have to learn about Theosophy in a Forum format. (There are usergroups already in existence, but this is the first active Forum.)

Know then, Ye Readers of The Forum, that you are part of a new chapter in the history of Theosophy.

Every effort will be made to make this a home for all Theosophists, not just members of one particular organization. "Brotherhood" is the most important word in Theosophy, and that philosophy will be manifested in this forum. It is hoped that this forum will pull all Theosophists together, in a greater atmosphere of understanding and mutual respect.

We can always have more information about Divine Wisdom, Nick.

But in point of fact there are theosophy discussion groups online now. Two are theos-talk amongst the Yahoo groups and several under the Blavatsky Net banner.

Personally, I care not for the Yahoo groups hoops one must jump through, so I hope this Theosophy Forum catches on. I have already passed on the word to a few theosophist.

Nicholas,

Glad to see you aboard.

I am especially glad to see you and Dara here, as I am very much into the Besant/Leadbeater tradition of Theosophy. I look forward to having you bring your Judge/de Purucker side of Theosophy here, and give things more of a "balance".

Are the blavatsky.net ones actually at that 'net--or elsewhere?
